Somluck Komolmith, the artist behind this masterpiece, was born on December 16, 1964, the youngest of five children. Her parents once owned a jewelry shop near the Myanmar border, before the family moved to a different city where Somluck attended high school. She then pursued a vocational degree in accounting and worked at a bank for 16 years, all the while having the opportunity to learn about jewelry-making from her two older brothers who own jewelry shops.

Now, Somluck designs and crafts jewelry pieces, including almost all the jewelry she wears herself, as she enjoys being unique and original. In addition to designing pieces for sale, Somluck is empowered by NOVICA to promote her handmade products, uplift her community, and share her exceptional quality and unique designs with customers around the world.
